The Avalon Ecovillage plans include a geodesic dome facility for community arts events that involve people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds. Music, dance, song, storytelling and visual media are key modes of creative expression for Avalon Artist’s Guild. Our group of professional artists will teach workshops, choreograph local productions, perform as a troupe, and facilitate school programs for children. The Avalon membership will have the opportunity to be creatively involved, receive a discounted rate on workshops and show tickets, as well as have advance notice of all upcoming events.
These participatory productions will focus on important global issues, aspiring to raise social and environmental awareness and promote meaningful reflection. The performances will also integrate comedy and multi-media technologies to enhance learning and enjoyment. Sacred arts and choir programs will explore the healing power of connecting with our spirit through harmonic sound, colour and rhythmic movement.
Avalon’s larger vision for a global campus village includes special facilities for therapeutic expression and play, artisan shoppes and studios, world beat dance club and magical spaces for the celebration of our multicultural heritage. Avalon artisans will add their magic to architectural design with beautiful murals, sculptures, stain glass, masonry and other enhancements. Our prototype edu-tainment theatre complex with an interactive animation studio is an exciting alternative to conventional cinema.
