The stresses and toxins of modern living are increasingly compromising our bodies and well-being.  Our health crisis is systemic in origin, with cumulative effects from many sectors of the industrial economy and conventional city infrastructure.  Avalon applies ecological and energetic principles to redesigning healthier neighbourhoods, farms, workplaces, transportation networks, utilities and waste systems.

The Educational Discovery Centre in the Stage 1 Ecovillage proposal includes a health café and wellness clinic, with services and programs operated by the Avalon Healer’s Guild.   A counselor will coordinate client care with our interdisciplinary team of health practitioners and teaching faculty.  A coaching program is also available for helping clients achieve their health and lifestyle goals.  Avalon’s exciting wellness workshops and retreats will help people of all ages develop their whole potential. We seek to uplift and harmonize both the inner and outer worlds, with programs that range from learning about rejuvenating foods and exercises to creating meaningful work and relationships.

The larger vision for a global campus village includes uniquely designed and programmed facilities that combine the healing power of love with the intelligence and beauty of nature.  We have plans for a world-class spa resort, community recreation centre and holistic medical institute that demonstrate leading edge approaches to restoring health and happiness.  Avalon is also developing a clowning outreach program to bring healing laughter to the sick, elderly and others in need of support.
